Although current restrictions still allow gyms (some – not all) to remain open, both the Government and the Public Health Agency have pointed out that it is very important that everyone takes their own responsibility for reducing the spread of infection by, for example, avoiding congestion in indoor environments. We therefore want to inform you about the measures we take to ensure a safe training environment, as well as what you who train with us can do to help reduce the spread of infection.

Nov 13, 2022: Nationally, a slight increase in the number of confirmed cases of covid-19 was seen during week 43 compared to the previous week. The increase was also seen among people living in The number of deaths per week and the number of new intensive care patients are remain at the same level as in recent weeks. It is important that the person who is ill with symptoms that could be due to covid-19 stay at home and avoid close contact with others. In order to avoid severe illness, it is important that anyone recommended to be vaccinated against covid-19 do so and that those who are offered refill doses take
these. Adults who are not vaccinated should avoid crowds and large gatherings indoors.

Exactly how many seats there are on each individual workout depends on the design of the workout and the size of the group gym. We have also chosen to completely turn off group training sessions that require participants to share equipment with each other, such as Box.

Krill Oil Effects On Cardiovascular Disease And Endurance

A recent Norwegian study published on the Journal of Nutritional Science has determined that consuming fish and fish supplements containing Omega 3 Fatty Acids helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Krill oil is one such alternative source of marine Omega 3.

The Study of Omega-3, Krill Oil and Fish Oil

So far, and few studies had investigated the health effects krill oil and omega-3 may bring.

The 5 Norwegian researchers have compared the supplementation of krill oil with the actual intake of fish containing similar amounts of Omega 3 on a few markers of cardiovascular risks.

The Method, Fish Oil Group and Krill Oil Group

They performed a randomized parallel study that lasted 8 weeks containing 36 healthy people with ages ranging from 18 to 70 years of age. Their fasting levels of serum triacylglycerol (TAG) varied between 1.3 and 4.0 mmol/l. These people were randomly chosen to receive either krill oil, fish, or control oil.

The fish group consumed both fatty and lean fish in quantities in accordance with dietary guidelines. The krill and control groups were given 8 capsules daily, corresponding to 4 grams of oil.

In the fish group, the marine omega-3 weekly intake from fish was 4103 mg.

The Results

In the krill group, the krill oil intake was 4654 mg. Fasting serum TAG remained unchanged between groups.

The levels of total lipids and phospholipids, as well as esterified and non-esterified cholesterol, increased significantly as a response to the supplementation with krill oil.

The fish group noted a significant increase in their vitamin D levels.

The scientists also saw a significant decrease in the blood glucose levels of the krill group.

Finally, the plasma levels of marine omega-3 increased significantly both in the fish and krill groups when compared with the control group.

Krill Oil – Closing Thoughts

In conclusion, it can be said that the supplementation with krill oil and intake of fish both result in good benefits to the human health. And even though only krill oil has reduced the fasting glucose levels, consuming more fish also increases the levels of other nutrients beneficial for the health, such as vitamin D.
