Turkey Trot!
Posted by mandy on September 30th, 2009Autumnal Greetings, Athletes!
Hope you all have had a spectacular season. We’ve just added another race to the line-up. Yes, it is eco-friendly and for charity purposes, but it is also a nice way to wind down the season and burn off those Turkey-Day calories!
for the Saturday November 28, 2009 5k race in Steep Rock Preserve (Riding Ring) in Washington Depot, CT

Many thanks for coming out to support the 3rd Running of the Nutmegman Eco-Friendly Charity Tri, it was a pleasure watching each and every one of you along your 70.3 mile journey!
In the coming days, I will post and email out the link for photos. We will be uploading them to a flickr or Picasa web album for you to view and download as you wish.

Just a few short hours before we see you all begin your 70.3 mile journey!
A few new notes:
The weather is looking perfect for the event on Sunday – water is most definitely wetsuit legal at 72-74 degrees, but those of you going without will be more than fine.
For those of you with friends that are looking to race, registration is available on Saturday at packet-pick-up between 2-4 PM at the Southbury Crowne Plaza Hotel (exit 16 off Interstate 84).
Race meeting immediately following at 4 PM.

As part of this sponsorship, we will be creating the official “Acts of KINDness” award for volunteers. Let us know during or after the event and we will present our volunteer winners with goodies from KIND.
My favorite bars are the Almond-Cranberry – we’ll have full-size sample for you all at the race!

Important Announcement
Posted by mandy on July 9th, 2009Greetings Athletes -
We will be sending out your pre-race emails this weekend and next week (and everything is posted on www.endureitmultisports.com as well), but we needed to email you all about an important note.
Athletes are NOT permitted to swim at Mountain Lake Camp or in Mountain Lake until race day. It is a great privilege to use this private facility and showing up unannounced, with no lifeguard on duty is a MAJOR risk for the camp and for your own safety.
